Default B16 ignition timimg

any help would be nice im running a B16 with 82 mm CTR's i think the compression is around 12:1. the motor is completely built and I need to know how to set the dizzy timing. The motor will be tuned later but i need a safe timing to run for a couple of miles until motor is completely broken in. Thanks in advance.

This all depends on what ecu map your running :-)

You will be able to hear audible detonation at partial throttle.
Shoot the timing to factory 16.5 deg btdc & just stay out of a wide open throttle condition.

i thought factory was 16 deg
