Default Victor X on B16a Fitment

I know this isnt TOO turbo related but since it was on a civic turbo and Victor X's are more "turbo friendly" well i posted it here.

Well good news and bad news... the left over turbo civic is about to be finished but i encountered something while installing the Victor X manifold...

shitty *** pics sorry... the "red circle" is where the problem is.

as can be HARDLY seen here the manifolds lower portion hits the water pipe or neck whatever you wish to call it and the manifold cant be seated all the way for the studs to go in.

another shitty *** pic...

this is on a 1st gen b16a and if i recall correctly the 2nd gen got the same water neck and i don't think will go any smoother since it hits where the long 10mm bolt goes through. b18's+ got taller deck heights so they're good i bet and yes i took out the lower water connecting hose...

so you know what to do now take away all that unnecessary lower part and slap it in

i just put together my B16A and i dont remember that stupid *** nipple on the bottom of my VicX?!?!

take it out, put a plug in it...

actually thinking about it i didnt run any extra coolant lines at all... i just have the one off the back of the upper hose going to the IACV then to the water pump pipe. and of course that U... i just bypassed the little nipple all together...

my VicX came with a special "big" fitting for the U-bend bypass hose, it has a 1/8th hole in the side for that fitting if you would like to run it... i didnt use it obviously...

wow this was old. I had to remove a good part of the lower portion of it to bolt up. it was hitting in the upper part of the water neck... the engine was swapped from the civic i'll get better pictures... again this was in a OEM b16 1st gen block.
