Gear Box problem.
When im at a complete stop, (in neutral), i clucth in and go to gear one it gets stuck sometimes and i have to like pull the **** to gear two hard and back to gear one, like sometimes it requires force to wack it into gear one. What could be the problem? I heard its gonna cost a shitload to chage the gear box! This happens every now and then. Not often though? Is it safe?
The first thing you should do is check your clutch fluid level. There are two tanks on the drivers side firewall that unscrew at the top. The larger one is for the brakes the smaller is for the clutch. If either are low fill them with DOT3 brake fluid. Buy the smallest bottle available. It should be a couple bucks.
Clutch fluid is in between the min and max level. i checked it already. I think its a burnt the hell out of it or something. it happens rarely but i want to know b4 one day my clutch just fails on me on a highway and have to end up stuck and stranded getting it towed ><.
sounds like more of a tranny problem and not necessarily clutch. can't hurt to check your fluid level though. might be shift fork, might be synchro. either way it sounds like a tranny replace might be coming, if your problem isn't directly related to your clutch.
You can shift the car in to gear from under the hood, with it off our course. You can play with that and see if it sticks. Do you have problems with other gears? If the problem is universal it is probably the clutch. If it is just one gear it is probably inside the tranny like the syncros.
Also, if it doesn't want to go in to first, instead of taking it to second like you described in your first post, leave it in neutral and let the clutch out. After a second press the clutch back in and try to get it in first again.

thanks for your advice. it seems to go into gear better with this method under the hood. its only from neutral to first gear. I think its the shift fork, its probably bend or something. I'll go check it out in the morning. its too dark and cold to do anything now. thanks again

it has happened to me too it does that sometimes i think its the release bearing part of the clutch which engages the gears since 1st and 2nd are power gears i just pump the clutch a lil but i think its the release bearing it only happens so often
