dumb questions but i need to kno
Hey guys i kno this is a dumb questions but, When you buy cam gears for example aem. do i have to order 2 of them?(dohc) because i just ordere my cam gears and they only sent me 1. Did i have to tell them i needed to order 2?

they should send 1 intake and 1 exhaust unless you just ordered one then you need to figure out what one you ordered and order the other...

WTF are you talking about St Noobie? OP, the cam gears are interchangeable, just get another one. Call the guys you ordered it from, make sure they didn't accidentally short-change you a gear, and then buy a 2nd one.

The exhaust and intake cam gear have different markings... how would you know where TDC on the cams are, just guess, yea thats real smart...
lets use toda ones for an example

though i can't find a picture right now but i know off the top of my head that stock cam gears only have 2 notches in them; one for TDC, and one for alignment to the opposing cam gear.

There is some stinkin thinkin in this thread, Madness brought some sanity.
Jimmy, whoever Sainted you should be kicked in the *****. Look at your own pic and see if you see any difference in the cam gears besides the setting that they are locked down on. You post a pic that shows absolutely no difference between the gears except the setting.
And antiJDM, both stock cam gears are identical, they have an UP marking and side markings on both sides.
Oh, I get it, the short bus is pulling away down the street.

the way i see it, don't even help if u giving out wrong information. u thinking you know your **** is one thing, and u actually knowing your **** is another. the gears are interchangable. the only difference between the 2 is the setting the tuner/owner sets it at. period
