you guys will only put the best parts on your car. oh you need that dc shift ****, or that neuspeed strut tower brace, or that brand name this or that.

ill see these super bad *** show cars with like 20k in mods, and a CRAP *** system.

im not tryin to generalize here, but it seems the majority of you all will put damn near any crap *** korean built, max power rated, prefab box havin stereo equipment in your phat *** car.--- i just dont get it!
how can you spend all that $$$ and then skimp on a system

really folks, im sure that with a little time youll quit buying korean amps, you wouldnt buy a kia, or would you? thats another example of fine korean engineering. if daewoo made amps would you buy them?? how about hyundai??

maybe car audio just isn't their thing.. or not as high on their priority list.. or maybe they spent all their money on their mods.. who knows.. i spent quite a bit on my system.. its not the best or anything..but it does sound clean and hits pretty hard..

 

so what do you have for ur system?

 

honestly the people that want systems in their cars have them or are working on them. I race that's what i do, i spend my money on my motor and suspension. The more stereo stuff, the heavier the car and that's the opposite of what i'm looking for. I would like a nice head unit and some 6.5's and 6x9's but i could do more to my motor for the money i'd spend on a nice system. The stock honda unit is good enough for me.

I can't hear my stereo over my cars exhaust, wastegate and wind noise.... half the time i dont even turn it on..

 

4 channel amp for at the $499 price point, I'd take the korean made JL300/4 over the US made Xtant A4004. I've never seen a JL amp go bad, but I've seen many defective Xtants.

I used to work for a loudspeaker company that made some of it's speakers in Germany and sold some entry level stuff which was made in the far east. Guess which speakers I noticed came back more often with the tinsel leads detached from the cone? The German ones which were handmade. (handmade means nothing. humans made mistakes. Robots don't)


It all depends on the individual plant and the maufacturing process.If you stay with a reputable manufacturer, they will carefully select the plant which they are subcontracting out to build their products. A lot of the Alpine stuff is made in China.

You are a ******* moron if you generalize everything based on country of origin.

the only amps i can think of that are decent made in korea is jl (designed by Jeff Schoon of old PPI & Xtant)
and by the way, I carry 3 amp lines: JL, Zapco and Eclipse
JL has the highest failure rate by far!!!!
I cant tell you how many audiobahn, lanzar, alpine, pioneer, etc... Ive seen fail

well... ... since you asked yes, it has been my personal experience that certian brands of amplfiers etc manufactured in USA, germany, and japan tend to be of higher quality than those manf'd in korea, china etc...

In your experience, JL has the highest failure rate? What kind of defects have you run into.

 

I as well would like to see a link. I have read a few of Teken's post. Most are informative, sometimes he gives an biased opinion on things but the important part is his information is accurate. I can't stress how important it is to do your best to give accurate info. I am surprised he keeps it up, I have tried to help sometimes, but then you get some backyard installer trying to teach you the fundamentals of electronics. What that person may not realise is the person they are talking to may hold a BS in electronics. My point is do you know Tekens credentials? What are yours? I don't know his credentials but I can tell from his posts he knows his stuff.

Where do you think the parts in all the amps you listed as good come from?

I'm pretty sure either parts of the world have it's crappy share of audio product. Asia has it's shameful sony xplod, US have MA audio that seems pretty much defective we me... and not to mention Crunch. O yeah nakamichi recievers are so dull and breakable.

By the ways not all people have all the money to win HIN events and have a 10s car and can bang 3 blocks down the street. Even if they did they probaly focus most of there money towards one area(looks, speed, sound).

You don't see drag racers carry 2 PPI powerclass amps in their trunks with 2 15''punch hx2 do u?? to much weight. They are not going to accomplish their goal of speed.

Same goes to show cars. Spend most of their money on conversions, body work and 3000 paint jobs. don't see them carrying dragIII turbo upgraded to the maxed. no need for the speed when you are not going to drag.

you can't have a bad *** car with all the works in all three things. going to have to sacrifice the rest or spread it.

juss for the record, I have one MA audio 10" sub...which ive heard from owners of MTX/JL/etc admit blows away their two 12s...hasn't been very "defective" that i know of. and for the creator of this post, you sir, are a retard. all you did was GENERALIZE, you are saying "i didnt mean to generalize" than reword your sentences jackaXs. why dont you try to answer some of teken's questions. and yes, most people on hondatech arent trying to win hot import nights moron also, most car show winners have immaculate set ups which would easily decimate yours.

 

just for the record canada makes some of the finest subs on the market with beyond audio, and shocker audio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
