Default Zc tranny with SI ECU and DX shift linkage

Alright im back with more ZC ?'s If I buy a ZC motor and the 5spd tranny will a 90 SI ECU(same year as my DX) work with the motor and tranny right? and can I keep my DX shift linkage?

REason is my tranny is poo, and instead of pulling the tranny outta my friends SI id rather order the ZC does anyone know if it comes bolted to the block arleady? cause id change the clutch at this time too....

thanx.

Yes, the Si ECU will work but won't give the ZC the power it deserves. The fuel mapping is on the conservative side. I have an 89 integra ECU that works pretty well with the ZC. It's for sale I'm asking $70 negotiable. It will run slightly rich but, overall it works really well. You can also, use the ZC tranny with zero problems. your shift linkage should be fine.

Yes the Shift likage works fine, I have a JDM ZC ECU however in mine runs great, Si ECU is the least desirable ECU that would actually work.

get an 89 teg ecu or get the zc ecu and chip that bad boy to take out the speed limiter.

Ive been told my DX axles will work fine with the ZC tranny?? what would I need Teg ones or how about SI axles I have those available too?

Okay well maybe I should just take my friends SI tranny and use my axles(good shape) and rather spend my money on the ZC long block and the ZC ecu?

Im stil thinking what im gonna do here.

Your DX axels work with a Si tranny but NOT a ZC tranny. Si and DX axels are IDENTICAL. The ZC transmission has an intermediate shaft and would need 90-93 Integra axels. Take my word on that, am yanking the second bad Si trans tomorrow and have a ZC tranny waiting to go in, and Teg axels on the way. I've never hit the speed limiter on my JDM ZC ECU but thats because I don't race and there are too many cops on the streets around here anyway. The ZC has a closer ratio gearspread than the Si box. and I hear the uber setup is a Si final drive put into the ZC box. THe ZC box should have much less torque steer because of the intermediate shaft.
