Anyone ever hear of Nippon Oil / Fully Synthetic Eneos? My buddy came in today and brought it in for his car. I got to talking to him about it and he is a distributor for it and can get me a deal if i wanna try it. He said they have a 0w-20 and a 0w-50. Said i could use the 0w-50 with no problems and will gain a few HP. Was just curiious if anyone has ever used this oil or knows anyone that has. Any info is appreciated.
In NV? Is your buddy from up north? Way north? North Pole.
0 weight oil is for LOW LOW LOW temp/climate. If you are in NV you may as well put water in your engine
I am suprised noone (it seems) uses Valvoline

0w would be good for the wintertime in subzero climates.. peep this from Mobil1:
"Mobil 1 0W-40
Our lineup of Mobil 1 motor oils includes a 0W-40 viscosity, which is the viscosity recommended by many European car builders. Mobil 1 0W-40's wide viscosity range provides unsurpassed levels of protection and an overall smooth driving experience. Mobil 1 0W-40 keeps engines starting in Arctic-extreme cold, and it cleans deposits, sludge and varnish often formed in high temperature operating conditions. "
Your buddy should learn about his product before trying to hawk it to folks in the desert! Good thing you asked about it.

the second number in oil tells more of the thickness, per say. you would be fine running that oil in your car. there are a few people around here who run 0w20 and they have had NO problems, and we have a wide range of temps from 100 to -30...
this guy (xdjyoshx) reminds me of when people are running 5w30 and think that switching to 10w30 is some big jump in thickness, lol...
