h22 piston to wall clearances

h22 piston to wall clearances
Heres what my manual says for h22 piston to wall clearances:
H23A1, H22A1 engines:
Standard New: 0.007 - 0.030 mm (0.0003 - 0.0012 in)
Service Limit: 0.04 mm (0.002 in)
Surely that cant be right?
I thought my clearances should be around .001-.002?
