i no there has probably been a thread about this but i couldnt find one but any way i need help i have a 1992 honda prelude type s with the f22 and was wondering how much work is in volved to change to a h22a i think it bolts in but is there alot of wireing?? do i need to modify anything???

you have a Prelude S........the Type S is something completely different from japan.

and yes you will need a new ecu and wiring

Start considering a WHOLE H series swap....An H22 with an F22 trans is going to suck plain and simple! HUGE VTEC lag in between shifts.....
for an H23 trans or F20B trans if youre on a budget. Pretty sure F20B trans' are very similar or identical to 5th gen VTEC trans'.

Getting rid of Prelude TypeS project car in your SIG would be a start....

 

Well, to the OP (Original Poster) there are many threads in the Prelude forums on Honda-Tech... You can browse by the pages in the Prelude forum, or hit the red search button in the top right hand corner of the page.
There are alot of guys on here that have done the swap into their Prelude/Accord, and after you check out a little bit more into it I'm sure they'd be glad to help.
