Default Oversized valves and Skunk2 Pro 1's

Well right now i am using a B18c1 with ferrea .5 oversized valves with a skunk2 stage 1 cam but i am looking to get more power out of the car, it dynoed at 197hp and 143 flbs at churches dyno. Looking into getting the Skunk2 pro 1 cams which after calling skunk2 are shouldnt be a problem with the oversized valves, but i was just wondering if when installing the cams i should take the head off and do a valve to valve check to make sure that they are not going to hit, and do you think that i should also do a valve to piston check as well? I am using USDM type R pistons. with a .005 milled head.
By the way i am also going to be upgrading my header to a SMS piece.

To be on the safe side, yes. I personally would clay the motor... Not sure how milling the head change clearances.

are u using gsr pistons. if so i wouldnt think u would have p2v problems but i would check for v2v so since the head has to be off u might as well do it to be safe

how much clearance was there? how thick of a hg are you using?

ive got .5os rev ss valves and gonna be running Pro3's and my heads been done .010 from another setup..i know there will be a bit less clearance with the 3's tho..

I ended up with 101 IN ctr line and 107 EX had plenty of clearance. Pro3's would be different. Every engine is different. Used a stock head gasket.

WOW skunk2 said the biggest that i should use would be the pro 1s but then again i guess if you take a little big off the valve and degree them right it would be ok??

Also when installing them at first what would be a good degree setting of course i am talking about just enough so that i can drive it up to churches dyno.

Degree intake to 100 at 0.050. Then kick out the exhaust to have minimum 0.035 v-v and then make sure you have 0.070/0.100 p-v.

:in Hawaiian accent: "nuff already, lets start this moda already and blow away bo-da-dem hoales JOJ [in the Hertz Chevy Malibu and Enterprise Mustang Convertible]."

:really tan guy in board shorts: BJ Penn mo bedda dan anyone, that for sure braddah!! Shakkah brah!!!!

Pro1's then check the clearance.

Thanks everyone for all the great advice, i cant wait to get it all together and see the numbers on the setup as long as the header is done around on time it should be all together around mid end july.

What all would you have to do to make that setup work?
