Default omni power coilovers vs. ground control/koni yellow

im hopefully picking up a 1997 civic sedan lx. i had an 96 integra and i had ground control coilovers with koni yellow struts and it rode great. ive heard great things about omni power but ive never had any personal experience with them. i was real happy with how combo of gc/ky rode and wouldnt mind having that again, just wanted to get some feedback about omni power. thanks in advance.

i think you're missing the point, koni/tokico specialize in shocks not springs.

GC has been at it for quite some time, while omni is still fresh. it's like asking which is better honda or hyundai.

Omni's are harsh, but they are smoother than all the others trust me..

Koni is by far the roughest ride, but they are much stiffer

Koni's on a softer setting with the right springrates offer a fantastic daily driver ride.

It's the springrates, not the shocks that give you rough ride.

OTS gc's are soft, plenty soft for daily driving. If there's any harshness it's because you didn't cut your bumpstops.

ive had the Koni spring/koni yellow setup, and it was so rough...ive also had koni reds or eibach springs, and that was horrible as well

Omnipower and K-Sport full coilovers are absolute **** and no one should ever use them. They compensate for a lack of engineering by having valving that's absolutely punishing on your body and spring rates that are way too high for any kind of tires anybody runs on the streets.

Stiff does not equal good. When you use their lowering ability to make your car dumped, that removes all suspension travel and only further exacerbates the problem.

Lifetime warranty (koni/tokico) > 30/90 day warranty (omni/skunk2)

it's a simple decision, koni and tokico stand behind their products full force.

yeah there is really no comparison here

a full bodied coilover that costs 600 shipped
compared to JUST the koni yellow shock being 600 or more

the R&D from koni far surpasses omni
