Default Another Intake Manifold question.b18b..help!!!

i've searched for a while now and cant seem to find a answer..

was wondering waht was the difference betwen an automatic and a manual transmission intake manifold for a b18b.

cause im not sure if i have an automatice im or an manual one cause when i bought the tb gasket the holes where the bolts go didnt line up.

need help asap!!!

I didnt think there was a difference?!?

Are you sure you bought the right gasket?
did you try the gasket every way possible to make sure? The tb gasket can only go one way.

yea i fliped, turned every possible way..2 holes will line up and the other 2 wont..this sucks..my swap is takin forever!!

they are the same. sounds like you have the wrong gasket

thats weird cause when i ask for a tb gasket they have to ask me if its a manual or auto transmission. the gaskets look different too..will liquid gasket work?

what are you getting it from kragen or autozone or something? they ask you that on any part.

got mine at autozone. yea autozone asked but checkers didnt..but when i got to checkers they couldnt find it..idk..but will the liquid gasket work? think i might do that instead if it works..

i usually use liquid gasket but i wouldnt on a tb......most of those liquid gaskets arent sensor safe

hm..but the liquid gasket wont touch/be on the sensors.

yeah that is true....but suppose you put a little to much on then put the tb on....then when ur at wot the wind may carry some of the excess throughout your motor...not sayin it will majorly mess anything up....but its better to be safe than sorry ya know?

yea true.i guess ima use the old gasket n seal the outside cause no one in town seems to have the rite gasket..
