Mobil 1 or valvoline 5w-30. Regular or sythetic is fine. If you start using sythetic you can never go back.

I would run 5w-30 unless you have a chipped ECU and you rev over 9k. If you rev to 10k I would run 10w-30.

Just my .02

You know....I'll rephrase what I said....You CAN switch back to regular if you want....But it is recommended that if you switch to sythetic that you stay with it.

That better for you Lion King boy??

why would you wanna use thicker oil so you can put more of a strain on the oil pump?
if anything i would look into chamfering to allow better lubrication

Recommended by whom? There will be absolutely no issues switching back to a conventional oil from a synthetic.

Yea, you need to do your research. You can go back to regular if you want to. Maybe you need to spend some more time researching instead of looking for gay little avatars for profile you'd actually learn something.

Actually........Go ahead and read the threads about spun bearings and people who have first hand experience when they use synthetic forever and then go back.

Even better idea.....Try it yourself and let me know how that works out for ya.

On the back of my Mobil-1 synthetic it even says that it's compatible with conventional oil.

you know i am not one for bashing people on honda-tech but you know what i want to see this one!

If that could be proved then wouldn't that leave the company liable for something?

i mean if people can sue MC-Donald’s for making them fat LOL then i am sure someone would have sued for oil braking the engine right???

i think even I am going to have to call a B/S on that one sorry

You aren't going to see anything, because it's completely false. The member should spend some time researching on the BITOG forums before making baseless claims regarding motor oil.

Here you go crackers....Looks like my opinion is based on FACT!! But it looks like my opinion is a little outdated.

Here is a link to a popular mechanics article. I think they know far better than any of you weekend hack mechanics about oil. http://www.popularmechanics.co....html
