so i unplugged my speed-o cable from the tranny b/c it was making this horrible squeaking sound and i couldnt stand it! lol but anyways no my vtec isnt hitting?!?! is this because of the VSS code?

 

yes, i do believe so.

 

Stock ECU's wont let you hit vtec below a certain MPH... if the car doesnt know how fast its going it just wont let you hit vtec at all... you can run a chipped p28 or another chipped ecu most programs will let you override the "vtec before a certain mph"

 

If you pull the cable out and regrease it then it should stop. Mine sounded like mice nesting in the gauge cluster before I greased it.
