Default quick release steering wheels?

i was looking into these things, after doing some homework, i found out its legal for cars that didn't come with airbags to install these and not get any problems from cops and such " though i highly doubt that " so my question is, would the DA " 1993 integra " fall into this category? and has anyone ever used a system under the brand of tekniq? they offer a pretty good deal imo. but the saying, you get what you pay for comes to mind, doesn't the other quick release system cost up to 1grand??

Of all the things I've heard people get hassled for, a quick release was never one of them.

Since your car doesnt have an airbag, I really doubt you would have a problem. There's no reason for a cop to question or even notice the quick release, unless you do something stupid like pull your steering wheel off right in front of him.

One of the better quick release systems is from NRG. No, quick release systems dont go for $1,000 unless it's some ultra rare, full race unit.

Lets see ultra rare, full race, $1000... it must be JDM!!!!!!

If a cop harasses you for having a quick release his is probably going to harass you for not having a litter bag also. So make sure you have one of those.

I was referring to Italian or German manufacturers, but yes Japan makes some expensive quick releases too. Overkill for our intended purpose, just go with a NRG.

I would worry more about exterior modifications, cause that is what will get you pulled over. HID's are illegal if they didnt come OEM, so even though your friends BMW came with HID's the cop might have thought otherwise. No way will a cop see you driving down the street and say, I but that guy has a quick release steering wheel. He'll get you for no front license plate, loud exhaust, being too low, or stupid driving before he gets you for a quick release.

I personally had a NRG and I loved it, which is why I recommend it. Alot of NRG's products are questionable, but they have a solid quick release thats for sure. No play, well built construction. Others will chime in, I'm sure.

Weak Sauce has some good deals on quick release steering wheel packages... Momo Steering Wheel *Tuner* , hub, and quick release for $310? Sounds good... However I got lucky on a CTR SRS so I got that instead
