Shot at 2007-06-26

the rubber stripping where the arrows point to....i just received my jdm front today and the rubber stripping is falling off. is there any place i could get them?

Would it be possible to reattach with RTV? Clean the surfaces with alcohol before application.

 

go to honda or toyota they have alot of weather stippring. may not be exact but very close. u can choose.

I guess that I am well versed in precision RTV (silicone) application. LOL You only need to apply a small amount to where the molding was originally attached.

 

ok so i went and got some silicone (RTV) lol. and it works better than i thought. thanks for all of your help.

Just make sure that both the molding and the housing are clean and the bond will be good. If the bond fails, you can continue your quest for the new piece of rubber.
