air conditioner a/c recharge. .... AC techs please read! problem with recharge!http://images.honda-t
so its summer time, and my a/c is blowing out cold air, but its not as cold as it should be, my friend has an integra too and his is cold, if i had to compare mine to his, i would have to say his is running 100% cold and mine is about 75% cold
the ac works but i just wanted it colder and decided to buy a bottle of the recharge stuff. It let in about 1/4 of the bottle before the system registered as full. I know there isnt any leaks because its ran fine for years, but im just wondering what can i do to make it colder? do i have to bleed out the high pressure port?
any help is appreciated.

well first just cause it didnt have leaks for years doesnt mean leaks will never open up.
also you shouldnt just pump some refridgerant into your system without knowing what your doing. or you could wreck the whole thing.

its r134a and are u sure u know what ur doin, what are ur low and high side pressures and at what ambient temp are they when u read them....simple pressure readings will tell u whether u have a prob or not.
also b4 u charged the sys, did u perform a vaccum...possible air in the sys

Wow... youre a ******* *******.
you dont just simply recharge your a/c, that isnt the way to do it, so maybe you did do it wrong?
you have to vac everything out and recharge it then.
Also, you obviously DO have a leak if you added more r134 to it..

any ideas on a base price to get the system flushed and recharged at a shop?
im guessing around $100 to $200, i know that alot of acura/honda dealers are sending postcards out for discounts on ac checkouts....
