Need help identifying this steering wheel.
I need help identifying this steering wheel. This came off a DC-2 Honda Integra Type-R from Japan but it is slightly different than your normal Non-SRS ITR wheel. It is larger and has black stitching. Anyone know the origins of this wheel?

It's the Honda Access optional wheel available in markets where SRS was not required.
I will buy it if you want to sell it.
I have one in my track car.

It has been a long time since I held a USDM OEM wheel, but I want to say they are about the same diameter.
It's just your basic steering wheel. You have to hold it before you understand why a very small number of people like it. Just like that Fastline Performance shifter that people wouldn't believe until they used it.
This is only the third time I have seen one of these wheels posted.
The first one was Raging Angel a few years ago, and I think he still has it. His might be a red stiching one. He wanted to sell his for not too bad a price back then, and I was a dummy and didn't buy it at the time.
The second one is the one I am using. Weird thing is that it did not start life as a DC2 wheel.
A guy in Okinawa whose Internet nom de plume is JAPAndy put a new hub on it before he shipped it so it'd fit the ITR.
The one posted above is only the third one I've ever seen.
Here is a slightly better view of my wheel, from back when the ITR was in the B motor, street going configuration.

You cannot tell from the pictures, but the H on my wheel is gold, not red.

You know what? I just noticed something weird.
I just got back from the garage to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on me.
My Honda Access wheel has slight grip bolsters at the 10:00 and 2:00 positions, and the Honda Access wheel pictured seems not to have those.

That style wheel was factory fitted on the JDM Subaru Legacy GT and RS twin turbo I think it was the 1993 or 1994 models . Were only on the first of them though as SRS airbags were made standard on the later models. This may explain why the hub had to be changed to get it to fit on your DC2.

My wheel was originally on a Honda, but a different chassis.

If anyone knows someone in Japan they would be in car wrecking yards all over the place and you would get them for almost nothing. Only problem would be the freight

This is the exact same wheel I'm using, showing the gold H on the black background. I think this is probably the best looking version of the wheel.
I have seen a wheel a few years ago that somebody had on a French car. It had the red H on a silver horn button, and red stitching. It also had the grip bolsters like the wheel pictured above.

That is an awesome looking steering wheel man looks mint. Having driven several of the above mentioned Subaru's with these wheels I have to say they are extremely comfortable to use and being Momo they are extremely high quality.

From memory the JDM ITR wheel is slightly smaller than the other model pictured. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Yes, the JDM DC2 ITR steering wheel is quite a bit smaller than the DC2 Honda Access wheel.
I've never seen the need for a smaller wheel, and I like the bigger one.
I've also noticed that in some high-G manoeuvres I end up with a kind of Barney Oldfield grip on the wheel, and the bigger wheel is good for that, I think.
