how do you take off the valve cover??

Default how do you take off the valve cover??

I owned a civic ex coupe, was wondering how do you take off the valve cover properly? I want to paint it red. thanks.

Dont forget a new valve cover gasket...just incase you need a new one or mess up the one you have.

Just remember when you put it back on to not over torque the bolts. You don't want to snap them off in your head.

hey you should explain to op how to put it back on properly lol .... im such a hole but yeah man dont forget to get a new gasket when u put it back

you really only need a new one if your old one is leaking. Just clean it good and then reapply liquid gasket on the square sections of the gasket (around the cams). Then make sure you don't over tighten the cover nuts cause they can break and turn into crap. Usually 10 foot lbs is good

oh booooo everyonwe starts somewhere. here ya go dude:
<U>remove</U>
label and unplug spark wires (from head not distributor)

unscrew the nuts

it should pull right up afer that

<U>install</U>
clean off the edges

replace spark wires as labled

tighten nuts
