I assume your trying to save weight? I know the HF bumper supports may be the lightest available though I don't know if the JDM version is lighter still? either way that's the only bolt on way to save weight F&R. only other option is to fab up your own support w/ minimal material but this can be alot of work for not much benefit. It's much lower on my list of mods but lighting up my bumpers is something I plan to do later one, till then this is the best info I got for ya.

Currently just the side tabs and 2 lower 10 mm bolts are holding it up.
Just the top in the middle sags a bit.
I might look into an Hf support.
Thanks.

So that doesnt apply really.</TD></TR></TABLE>
you are in the EF section. where it does apply.

run with a bumper support or it will eventually sag like mine has started to. Although I don't have all the bolts holding the bumper on yet so that could be why..
you can always running a peace of sheet metal tabs and rivit them into the bumper. then have the other end bolt up to the radiator core support bolts. but any how your an idiot for running a honda with out the bumper support.
accidents happen, and you'll be very close friends with your motor on your lap. if you trying to do it to do weight reduction. your an idiot. just build a motor that can actually pull an extra 30 pounds.

you could also take it off and then be killed in only a 30mph front end impact, not to mention the chassis flex your gonna add without that bar bolting the two lower rails together. big
in my opinion. but do whatever you want and just pray you don't ever hit so much as even a deer.

Honestly the name calling around this site really needs to stop. Theres no need to call someone an idiot.
You can state your opinion, your help, your experience without calling someone an idiot.
Anyway, thanks for the replies.

I switched to an HF front bumper support a while back. I recently got into a 5 mph crash and had to replace both headlights, the hood, the front radiator support, the piece that hold the front bumper in place, and obviously the front bumper. The HF "support" just folded out of the way. I'm sure if I had the original support I would have saved my headlights and my hood.

we're talking about the crx here. If you get in an accident you are pretty much screwed anyways
bumper support or not
