Default just purchased my 98 cw type-r

well i picked it up for $9000 114k miles.knowing it was in a minor accident, and it had a 3rd gear grind. well i've been driving it everyday for about a month, and i've noticed on cold start up for 2-3 seconds max unitl it builds oil pressure it sounds like it has a rod knock or piston slap. i know it's not the valves, i can tell it's just not a valve noise. it's so short of a time and runs like a champ after those few seconds i never worried about it. now it's starting to worry me. i have a honda filter on it and havoline 5w30 oil. i love this car and bought it at this price knowing i was going to be putting some money into it. i just want to know if you think this sounds like a normal thing or are they ussually pretty quiet on a cold start up.? thanks

Clean CW

The knocking sound is not a normal sound even under cold starts...

well i sound like something similar to noisy valves, mines did the the same thing did a valve job noise still there, while on the hoist i started and heard the noise coming from the bottom end, so removing bottom end #3 con rod bearing was f ed up. i have pics, i`ll post when completed
