Default question about coverting a D17A1 to a D17A6

I've reading around and from what i can figure if i do a frankenstien with the vtec-e head from a D17a6 onto my D17a1 motor that should give me the same gas mpg figure as the HX..... any faults in my logic?

yeah..... you're missing the endlessly long gears in the HX so it runs at lower engine speeds. Swapping the head does nothing.
