Default Stolen R's...

i'm not much of a poster but i've been reading alot of stuff about stolen type R's and ****..
To the people who got their cars stolen didnt you have some sort or alarm or car protection equipment?.. I mean c'mon its common sense.. You own a TYPE R... One of the rarest cars in the import scene.. 75% chance of getting stolen.. So wouldnt you even considering buying an alarm for it?.. or maybe a steering wheel lock?.. I know if i owned a R i would buy mad anti-theft stuff.. Cause you know its gonna get stolen.. I mean C'mon.. 3 type R's get stolen in NJ in one week?.. thats pathetic.. The first mod you should buy if you own a R should be a alarm or some sort... Because its obvious its going to get stolen.. I just wanted to say this because stupid ppl out there who keep crying about their R's getting stolen when they dont even have a theft protection.. Me i own a Golf GTi.. and everytime i go in my house just to grab somthing... or even when i leave my car for a few minutes... i put on steering wheel lock no matter what.. And you fellas with an R.. dont you ever look out for your car?.. I mean like when ur driving.. Watch whos following you.. because i've had a few cars follow me time to time... Ohh well i just wanted to say thats it..

I keep wanting to call him troll, but in this case after careful reading he might be better classified as homo newbie.

Common sense seems to be in short supply - but a lot of people with alarms, Lojack and locked garages have also had their cars jacked. Thievery is just more prevalent now I guess.

I think I'll run out right now and upgrade my alarm to the best in the business just so I can say "I had the best alarm, cost me over $1000" when my R gets stolen.

sigh....I'd rather buy something to make my R more fun to drive and at least get my moneys worth then an alarm system that wont do jack but chirp when I hit the lock botton.

if thieves want your car, they're gonna find a way to steal it no matter how good your alarm system is.

Well, my friend had an expensive alarm and the club and they still stole his TypeR from a certain Cal State parking lot. When theives want it pretty bad they are going to take it no matter what. Now he takes his wires with him. LOL! And if he sees someone cruising by his car he stays there with his gun.

Obviously people invest in antitheft devices...

Hey oneturbo...thanks for yesterday's news.

Also, around the world, the conflict in Vietnam escalates as the US sends in 5,000 more troops.

hmm....i think we all know that there's no "PERFECT" alarm system out there. Afterall, no many people will want to spend more than $1000 on alarm. I had an alarm on my car...but it still got stolen. IT wasnt a cheap one either....the conclusion is....no matter what kinda of alarm you have, if they really want your car, they'll get it....

the best thing to do is...(what i'm gonna do now) is to not drive your R to crowded places....enjoy it yourself....no need to let others know that you have a kool car.

Hmmm, if only you were around with this wise advice before my Rs were stolen. An alarm. Now why didn't i think of that. How do these alarm things work? How much, and where can i get one?

If you can read, then you'd know most R owners have an alarm. You own a VW. You have nothing to worry about. You really think R owners aren't aware of this?
