Default Acura wants $1144 CDN for RHS axle.

That's the most rediculous quote I ever got.

What do you folks do for replacements? I couldn't find much under search. I couldn't find a definitive answer on whether other teg axles would work.

Also, the local NAPA doesn't list one for 00 ITR.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Contact Gator axles, or Raxles.

Either have quality aftermarket options for ya. And no where near that price.

Dave.

Thanks! Actually Foreign Car Parts here in Canada has them for $130 NEW.

SHOVE THAT UP THERE ACURA

$1144 for an axle. I asked him 5 times if he was sure, and he was actually really embarrassed to tell me.

Thats very strange. I recently purchased a brand new axel from acura for under $200, dealer cost, so I wouldnt think the markup would be that high

That's crazy! US with the current discount is $445.56

GSR Axles should work just fine.

06443-ST8-508RM $134.74 $70 CORE
06444-ST8-508RM $134.74 $70 CORE

Thanks Len and everyone...

I'm sure you're right Len about the GSR axles, but has anyone tried it? Someone mentioned that the hub side is different.

And yeah, the parts guy didn't want to tell me the price, he was too embarrassed...he kept saying "very very expensive....hmmm you should probably just call NAPA" !

any 94+ Integra axle with abs will work. I am running 98 gsr axles in my 98 ITR with no prolems and fit just fine.

Thanks guys, well it doesn't surprise me that the axles are the same or very similar...

Like I said, Foreign Car Parts is selling me one for $130CDN, which also suggests it's a common part.

I had to replace both mine over the winter - bought both for a lot less (Cdn) than what you were were quoted for one from the dealer

The only difference between the ITR and GSR axles is the GSR has that little rubber dynamic-dampers clamped in the middle of the shaft. Half the time, remanufactured and new-aftermarket axles don't even have these rings on them anyways...

If your still not sure, you can compare the part numbers of the individual components for yourself (not the complete assembly of course):
GSR
ITR

heh

yeah they are pricey ericlee303

i'm just going to go buy it from napa, life time warranty.
if it goes, just go back and get another one. frig, you can even buy 2 sets each, so you always have one readily available. i believe they are about 200 cdn.
