CEL light came on.
My CEL came on yesterday. But this isn't one of those stupid topics about how to find out why it's on. I know why it's on. The O2 sensor on my headers was disconnected. I now have 4 wires coming out of my headers. I see where they're supposed to go but my question is this.
The plug itself has 4 holes in which the 4 wires (that are coming out my header) are supposed to go. But I was wondering whether the wires can go in any of the 4 holes, or if they're supposed to be in a specific one. If anybody can help me with this.. i'd be greatful. THX in advance

The wires came out of the actual sensor? Also there should not be any wires coming out of your header. The engine wire harness has 4 wires that go to a plug which connects to the O2 sensor.
And yes it does matter which wire goes where. At least 1, probably 2 of the wires are for the heating element, because it's a heated oxygen sensor (to assist during cold start-up).

no, they're still connected to the actual sensor, but they got disconnected from the connector. I know what they're for, i'm just wondering in what order they're supposed to be in. Blacks are for heat. White is for signal, green is for signal ground
