Testpipe Q?
Probably not since the USDM header is 2" and the JDM one is 2.5". Of course you could probably get them to make some sort of insert to make the 2.5" into a 2".
Although I haven't measured it. I find it hard to believe that the ID of the USDM stock header is 2.25". The ID of a JDM header is not quite 2.5" either...more like 2.35" or so.
I believe the stock header is 2.25!?
you can buy the gaskets on JDM hondaparts.com for this, or just put your 2.25 inch gasket inside an S2000 header gasket and this does the conversion for you. S2000 gasket is 2.5 inch, costs 23$ at honda.
ok so if I use the stock gasket inside a 2.5 gasket everything will work out?
I guess the real question I had in mind was whether the two bolts on the sides would match up. Does the bigger hole mean everything including the flanges is spaced out more? I know in the b-pipe connection, the flange is independent of the actual hole. for example, look at this pic:
As you can see the hole in the stock b-pipe isn't flush with the hole in the cat. But the despite that, they still mate up because the flanges do. (you could see deposits where the b-pipe is smaller) Is this true for a 2.5 testpipe going onto a stock USDM header too?
