Like it says, my buddy has a suto LS and it won't come out of park. He got the car that way. I'm thinking that it might have something to do with the brake release for it. Like when you press the brake down it's not releasing the shifter. If so how do I fix that or check that? Or any other ideas? Thanks boys and girls. Love, peace, and hair grease.

 

this happened to me long ago when my teg was auto. The problem with me was the brake release wasn't unlocking because the shift **** loosened up and wouldn't push down fully. But the shift release is just below the shifter console, so just take apart the cover and u should be able to see it and hopefully fix it.

 

On auto trans cars, you can sometimes hear the release solenoid click when you step of the brake pedal. Listen for the click at the shifter.
