Well, for starters I've got an '88 CRX Si. Lately I've been noticing a weird noise under load (when I try to push the car a bit). It's kinda hard to describe the noise, but the best word I can think of to describe it is a sort of faint tittering noise coming from the engine. I don't know what this sound could be, I don't think it's pinging but to be honest I'm not 100% sure what pinging sounds like. I'm just worried that it might be something bad if left unchecked. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

it could be knock, put some high octane gas in and see if it goes away.
