lol why would you need to sleeve the block to use a b20 head?

yes the p8r head is a nice *upgrade* over the factory b18b head

you guys sound sure that you can run a 84mm chamber p8r head on a 81mm bore block.........how would that head gasket seal up?

even if you used a 84mm gasket i don't think the engine would run right since the quench area of the chamber would be overtop of the deck of the block by 3mm..........

anyone else wanna add some input?

I am running a b20 head on my b18a1 with b18 head gasket. Runs ok. but smokes alot and burns through oil. When I did the rebuild I put new rings, bearings, valve stem seals, and valve lash. Think it's the combustion chamber on the head compaired to the sleeves makeing the problem. I'm building a b18a1 head to put on and see if it changes things. But with this and 89 octane in North New Jersey made 120hp and 118ftlbs on dynopacks.
