Never.
The next generation, whenever that comes out (and I'm not talking about an AP3, I'm talking about a complete redesign), will more than likely have a K series engine with i-vtec. Till then you won't see i-vtec on a f20c or f22c in an s2000.

Thats a stupid statement in my opinion. Just because one designer is retiring doesn't mean Honda wont find someone else.

Yamaha's R1 generates 180 HP per liter, so the F20 is a far cry from the most potent N/A engine on the market, there are at least half a dozen others that are far and above it.
I-vtec inside an s2k engine would be pretty impressive, would allow people to sqeeze just that much more power out of the little 2.0-2.2 and thats never a bad thing is it? ^^

Okay, it's got the highest N/A HP/L ratio (the F20C anyway) of any car production engine.
Plus I've been seeing the F22C consistently puts 240+ to the wheels putting at 260+ at the crank...

i really doubt that they will stop production because of one man... its not like he holds all of the honda s2000 secrets or something

iVtec is more for midrange drive ablity then highend power. The f-series motor is already tuned for highend power so adding it would just make the motor more complicated and increase the price.
However the midrange bump in power might be welcome sight. Either way, like said above, they will never come out with - at least in the ap2.

Oh yeah, oil-eating Wankels don't count.
With the F-series slim head/valve cover and narrow valve angles I doubt the i-VTEC mechanicals would fit unless they made a wide head like their other DOHCs...

BS
Try About 240 at the crank, and maybe 210 to the wheels.

The Ducati Desmosedici L-4 puts out 200 in street trim from a 989cc motor, and more with a race exhaust and computer.

Yea but ur comparing apples to oranges...My 05 GSXR-600 hit 110 and is rated at 120 at the crank, with a Yosh slip and K&N.......
The S is still the only car in the world to produce 120hp per liter, and as far as the piece of **** RX-8 is concerned they are rated at 237 and wont dyno over 200!!!!!!
