My power steering seems to be slowly failing, making the car harder and harder for my wife to turn.

The fluid level is fine and the belt tension looks good. However, the fluid does not appear to be amber, it appears to be dark brown. I presume this is bad.

As the subject says it's a 94 accord LX, it has ~170k miles.

I'm guessing that the pump is failing, but I'm not sure. What's been ya'lls experience?
