Special, or otherwise limited, edition EF8 CRX's were released in their three years of production.

A portion of the vehicles were equipped with a special transmission affectionately known as a Y1 which features a limited slip differential (LSD). This gives the car a lot more agility through the corners and really allows the driver to use the power of the B16A to pull the car out of understeer.

An optional sound pack was available which equipped the CRX with rear speaker tubes. These moulded plastic tubes were positioned behind the rear speakers and amplified the bass from those speakers. A double DIN height stereo could also be fitted if desired.

Most impressively, and unfortunately rarely, a glass roof option was available. Just as it sounds, this replaced the roof of the CRX with a panoramic glass panel. The glass panel is about an inch thick for structural reasons and has a heavily bronze-mirrored finish on the outside the protect the interior from the long term effects of the sun. The downside of this is the car gains an extra 10KG of weight due to the thickness of the glass compared to the thin sheet metal of a standard roof.</TD></TR></TABLE>

i want a CRX with a glass roof, and speaker tubes and LSD, anyone ever seen such a crx?
