Default MY EM2/EP3 Type R Hybrid , first in the UK

I bought this just under a month ago, i always loved EM2 civics, but was dissapointed in the lame D17 they came with, so I had a dream about building a Type R one. The next day I booked my flight to London to pick this up ;

It was sitting in K-sport coilovers and rota grids

fitted a EP3 Type R steering wheel

Bought a complete donor car - Civic Type R

Fitted the type R's EPS

Engine sat in place on Hasport Mounts

Mostly finished

Type R wheels/brakes/5 stud hubs

Next to my WIP K20 EG

Next to my work vehicle - civic aerodeck VTI (B18c4)

I used the following parts in the swap ;

K20a2 CTR engine/6 speed gearbox
DC5 type R shifter cables
CTR subframe/wishbones/swaybar
Hasport ESK1 mount kit
CTR axles
CTR rad / aircon condenser
CTR aircon pipes
CTR manifold/cat/b pipe (lengthened)
DC5 type R back box
K&N typhoon inductionkit
EP3 engine loom, EM2 dash loom midified, EP3 ECU, coded to EM2 immobiliser
CTR brakes / 5 stud hubs front and rear
CTR instrument cluster
CTR EPS system
CTR wheels

Soon to come are ;

DC5 Type R Brembo brake conversion
Wheels refurbed in white.

Gerry

You do not need no a/c the only thing you need in England is a heater! In Scotland lol you need some long johns & Winter thermals to get though that winter!

Also why would you fly down to london or is that a figure of speech? because i know for sure it would be cheaper to go British rail although safer by taxi LOL you know how British rail is!

whats special about them mate? Theyre just the ones that came on every coupe over here. Im finding it hard finding cosmetic parts...we only got the coupe from 2001-2003, so I cant find a facelift front or anything like that locally

Our tails are different to US tails, they have the clear section for the indicators.

As for styling, try altezzalighting.co.uk, they have front and rear lips, RS grilles and sideskirts. POTN.com have some stuff, carbon lips and bonnets and some ricey bodykits. Funkypower also have some stuff. Ebay have plain type R style grilles.

I believe amberperformance.co.uk do carbon bonnets and a carbon boot too, it all depends what you want. If you wanted to do an 04-05 front clip swap you're going to have to look to Belgium or somewhere i think.

yea they are different and i want them too. they have a very similar look to the jdm ferio tail light except i've never seen the coupe only the sedan, in america we get the solid color rear tails and white out for the reverse.
