Default do the retaining rings come with the lower ball joint dust boots?

i want to buy part #5 (51225-SR0-A01)... but don't know if it comes with the retaining ring that secure the boot. does anyone know if it does?

hmmm I would assume so, since it doesn't list them separately. It lists #9 as a circlip, which I guess is the same as the C-clip on the ball joint? Not sure what #17 is, I wonder why it doesn't list it...

You might want to just give Len a ring at Baranco, he can probably give you a more definite answer.

i got new boot's from the dealer. c-clip was NOT included. you'll have to reuse the old clip if you have it.

I believe there is supposed to be a c-clip that goes around the ball joint, AND some sort of separate clip that goes around the boot itself to keep it in place. That's what I noticed on my aftermarket replacement upper control arm ball joints.

What are you needing Reno?

The aftermarket ones are different. The OEM Honda ones only have a clip for the boot.

yep, that's what i need.. the clip for the boot. i replaced the boot with an aftermarket boot and i want to replace that with an OEM one since i feel this aftermarket boot is too tall. the aftermarket boot has two clips, so i could probably use those, but i want to be confident on proper fitment.
