Default jdm type r header 4 usdm type r question

Did a search but couldn't find an answer. Will the jdm type r header fit in my 00 type r as in bolt right up to my cat without mods? thanks

nope, i believe the:

JDM header= 2.5"
USDM cat= 2.25"

i have the JDM header, 2.5" piping all the way back to a Mugen TL.

you'll need to at least add a 2.5'' flange to the stock cat if you want to reuse it

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Ill Mitch &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">nope, i believe the:

The USDM cat (or rather, the USDM exhaust manifold) actually has a 2" OD collector.

As doood stated, at the very least you'd need to modify the stock cat with a larger flange. However, if you're planing to retain the stock cat, I wouldn't bother upgrading to the JDM ITR manifold.
