Who here is using a JDM header without the header support bracket? I am at the moment and don't really have a choice cause mine doesn't have that bracket to bolt onto (see pic below courtesy or IPS racing).



Should I just leave it like that or rig something up with some pipe hangers?

THe pic above isn't a OEM JDM 4-1. WHat header are you referring to exactly?

 

I noticed that all spoon headers do not have this bracket...weird, maybe they don't think it is required on a race car, but what about a daily driven ITR (bumpy roads, pot holes, etc.).

 

Quite a few of people with the bracket on their JDM 4-1 had theirs crack

 

i have a rsr 4-2-1 1 peice header on my ride and im not using the bracket. it kept coming loose and making noises so i removed it. i have had no problems since.

ps: forgot to say that i even made a bracket but it was not worth the time that was spent to make it
