im lookin in to buliding a 89 crx and i dont have a clur of what kind of motor i should put in it i
yeah i juss got a 89 crx and i want to hop it up alittle i was told to put a b16 in it but i dont no how much everything would cost does ne one know around how much money it would take to buy the motor ecu trans and that **** ...how fast would a stock b16 make the crx...and if i put a turbo on it could i levave the stock internals in the b26 or would i have to change them?

from Hmotors - JDM B16A SiR - complete changeover - engine, transmission, ECU, intermediate shaft and axles (which may or may not be any good) = $1499 (add $300 for LSD transmission) plus shipping which is going to run around $250
mount kit and shift linkage $400-$450
going to need header and exhaust work
before you install it, you should replace the timing belt, front and rear seals and oil pan gasket - hoses, oil, oil filter, spark plugs, coolant, etc. ($ adds up)
if your CRX is HF, you will need to replace the knuckles/hubs
if you want to boost it and want it to last, you will need to build-up the bottom end
