Ok, so i was out driving today... Not beating on the car what so ever, i pull into a gas station and i hear a pretty good ticking sound.

I went home and adjusted my valves hoping it would fix it and it didnt change anything.

Its not a valve tick but its kinda what it sounds like, just alot louder. it doesnt sound like a spun bearing sounds either... The car still runs fine, it just has a pretty loud tick that it didnt have when i started it earlier today. The noise is coming from the driver side of the car for sure... The only thing i can think of that would be making the sound is the water pump.

Would the water pump make any kind of noise like that if the bearings were starting to go bad? the car has about 95k miles on it...Im lost, its just really pissing me off.

The car is a 97 Civic Ex...D16Y8
