so ive got coolant leaking outta the weep hole on my water pump does this mean my water pump is bad and needs to be replaced?

 

what is the weep hole ? is it where the water neck connects ? if so you could probably get away with replacing the o ring and the water pump gasket. But if your going to go through all the work to get to the water pump you might as well replace it.

 

per the helms manny. a little bit of coolant is normal. key word little

 

hence the name weep hole, it is Ok for a small amount of coolant to "weep" out but if you have to constantly refill your rad then no its not normal. If its progressively getting worse your pump is probably on its way out, get a new pump timing belt and tensioner.

 

yea its poring out just wanted to make sure it was the water pump and not somthing else already bought new pump and belt so now all i need to do is get the freakin crank pulley bolt off
