B-SERIES CRX OWNERS! i keep breaking my TPS sensor
i have hasport drag mounts and i think my engine is still torquing off the line enough to break my tps sensor in half. its hitting the connection on the fuel line coming out of the firewall going to the fuel filter.
has anyone else had this problem? what have you guys done to fix this?

let me know if the pics dont work...

I have hasport in my crx. The motor barely even moves and my tps is nowhere near that fuel evap line. Just bend that line downward or something out of the way or change the IM.
i dont want to bend that line since it is a fuel line. and i dont want to change the IM since its port matched with my TB. i didnt think the motor would move at all either, but believe me....it is
sorry to thread jack buddy but, im having the same problem with my gsr!! only my tps is hitting the metal piece that is held on by a bracket on the firewall. can i remove that metal purge looking thing or is it neccssary (spell check)?

You have 2 options for the gsr, get a skunk 2 type manifold, or cut the bracket off the line and the bend it to the side.
Dont worry once you cut the bracket off it bends real easy you wont break anything. The line goes through the firewall through a rubber grommet and has plenty of wiggle room to work with. I have done this as well. Here is a pic I stole from jadcar, which has a JRSC which locates the throttle body in the gsr position.

Then, cut half an inch or so off the fuel line if you are afraid to bend it. It's not a fuel line per say. Just a vent for the tank. It used to go to your charcoal canister which cleaned the fumes up for the environment.
edit: I think you meant that your TPS is hitting that other, large peice next to that vent I'm talking about. In that case, nevermind what I've said. What intake manifold are you using? GSR? IT isnt a b16 or LS IM. there is nothing you can really do about it if you arent willing to change intake manifolds or anything. I say sell that IM and get a new one.

so if i cut the bracket on that piece and bend the line a little, that should fix my problem? i was worried about pinching the line a little bit and having that mess with my fuel pressure. but if its that simple, then ill do it that way.

Unscrew the hardline from the fitting and take the bolt out of the bracket and remove it hose and all(also take it off the fuel filter) I used a dremel with a cutoff disc. just cut it straight off. put the crappy cut side towards the firewall so you dont see it, once it is tightened back up just bend it to the side, it bends really really easy. I was very surprised. Also if you notice the fuel filter was relocated to gain some extra room back there. All you have to do is remove the filter bracket and turn it upside down then bolt it back up, it fits fine upside down , and lifts it up much higher for better clearance. It also looks better
