Default Type R final drive problem!!!

I have a Civic Type R transmission (same as USDM type R) with a Spoon 1.5way diff and ATS 3-4-5th shorter gears and I now have a problem!!!

- The istallation of my diff wasn't shimed properly and my counter sahft chewed up my ring gear....I purchased a USDM new ring gear(4.40) and new bearings for the complete trany (becasue of metal shimmes everywhere)!!!

Where I need help is the counter shaft. The bottom part wich contacts the ring gears has a chip in it, I'm wondering if the counter shaft out of a b16a trany is the same as the 4.40 type r one???
