Default removing jdm speed limiter

swapped a h22a in my 5th gen some time ago, and running a p5m ECU converted to manual. But that damn 180km/h speed limiter really annoys me from time to time, so I decided I want to get rid of it
But what is the best way to do this. Couldn't find any real sollutions with search, or I just searched wrong.
Anywhoo...would this do the trick:

http://www.sportcompactonly.co...8.htm

if not, what do you suggest, and no I don't have any money for hondata cuz I just got a new place

Or u could just get the udsm ecu which doesn't have a speed governor. only JDM ecu's have speed govenors.

don't be ignorant guys.

you cant just expect this guy to convert to obd1 just for a speed limiter

there are a few ways most of which for you will just be a piggy back.

An apexi rsm (rev speed meter)
feilds sfc-vtec
and the hks sld will all work.

I used the fields but Have since sold it. Like everyone said you can also get a different ecu. The problem with that is if you get a usdm obd2 it will have an immobilizer and that will give you problems. and I know you said the euro ecu is hard to find.

So these are your options. hope this helps.

well SMECK

i was refering to the fact that programmable ecu's run ~170ish these days. i got a chipped p28 w/crome pro for ~170 shipped.

this will

1. rid your problem of <118mph
2. gain some hp (more than likely with a good tune, expect 10 hp +-)

you listed a link that was $100 and you were willing to spend that much. why not go the extra mile to get "A REAL PROGRAMMABLE ECU"

word of advice, if you can't afford this small mod because you just got a place..........well i wouldn't be modding until you could and able to do it right.

ok I apologise, but where did you get a chrome chipped ecu that cheap? and how much will a obd2->obd1 harnass cost because I've got a obd2 5th gen engine+car
