compression specs
just curious what in the stock compression ratio on a stock d16z6? i just bought a built d16z6 and it has p29 pistons in it and has 12 1/2 to 1 compression and i understand it will have to be tuned and run high octane or can i use the stock ecu map? i was just wondering the stock ratio because i am not ready to tune so i might just put some stock pistons back in it. thanks

stock d16z6 is 9:1 comp
with p29 pistons will make the comp 13:1 comp not sure what oct gas you get were you live
but here in cali that thing is going to blow on 91 oct gas there was a thread on this just a little while back!
i guess you could however band aid this problem by retarding the ignition timing or oct booster not sure how effective that would be though?
either way i would get it tuned for high oct gas
this website should answer anymore of your comp questions
