I'm running rich--will it damage my car?
Sup guys...I have a 2000 Si w/ a bad pre-cat O2 sensor, which is causing me to run pretty rich. As a result, I've only been driving my car like 1 or 2 days out of the week for a little over a month, and I will be putting in a new sensor next weekend.
Do you think I am harming my car from driving it, or do you think I'm ok? I also made sure not to drive my car too hard, and I almost never even engage VTEC. Thank guys.

Not much harm is being done to the motor, but it will definatly affect your gas mileage, might get some soot residue in your exhaust, which will later come out when you do some hard acceleration. Replace your Primary 02 sensor ASAP!
Sometimes, the CEL light for the O2 being too rich comes on out of nowhere. I've seen it happen randomly after people clean their valve covers and engine bays. Happened to me when I cleaned my engine bay. I just reset the ECU and it never came back... However, I could have been "lucky"
