hitting sound??

hitting sound??
hi
when i'm about to stop i hear and feel like a hit in the pedals and the front car(is not that hard, more like a soft tump sound)...this happens when change gear or press the brake pedal....i just got the tranny replace, and two lower ball joint are shot wich i have to change, do you think that the reason of de sound...thanks
and forgot to mention that the wheel shakes above 30 miles..any help about it
