Default some impt things to do when installin pro1s in an h22?

what are some things to make sure that i check for or do when installing skunk2 pro 1 cams in my usdm h22?

things that will be installed are the cams, cam gears, springs and retainers, manual tensioner conversion, cam seals, the seal on the opposite side of the gears (i think its called the rubber cap/cam plug), and a valve cover gasket kit. stock valves, rockers, keeps, ect.

i was told i shouldnt beat on it until i am or have already gotten it tuned

also right now there is a little bit of oil buildin up on the left side of the head, behind the distributor cap. i was told it could be the "rubber cap." that problem should be resolved when i replace that piece.

well i might get the cams in before i get the header in. i wanna have both in before i tune it. it also depends on my friends schedule and how that works out with the tuners schedule

thanks for the support guys...but yea i have no mechanic experience AT ALL. so im gonna be paying someone to do most of the work with my help to the best of my ability. after i get it street tuned, soon after i will get it to the dyno just to see how much power it makes. i should be getting it to the same dyno that i previously dynod 178 at in, in 3rd gear with an f22 tranny

That's pretty much mandatory.

installing new cams needs a definite valve adjustment, unless you want bent valves.. hopefully whoever is doing your install will (should) know these things. since you stated that someone else will be doing all the work. good luck!
