Default Bore 20 over or sleeve the block?

Ive heard different opinions on this and i wanted to see what everyone thought on this topic. I sucked up a bunch of water through my cold air intake and warped valves in cyl 1 and 4. I've decided to just rebuild the entire engine instead of doing a valve job just incase i've bent a rod. Plus it was using alittle oil anyway. So. . . should i bore the block like the guy at the machine shop said or would it be better to sleeve it. Its a n/a h22a. No big mods. Note the guy at the machine shop is not really a Honda man thats why i am asking.

um if he's not a Honda guy don't give him the car. Doing machine work on the H22 is not an easy job if they don't know it. Find a machine shop that has worked on H22's. I say go with sleeves though might be a better option.

If he's talking about boring the block 0.020" oversized, don't let him touch the block. You cannot bore an H22 block that much. Max oversize on an H22 is 0.25mm, which is about 0.010". The honing process is also very specialized, and not many machine shops are familiar with the process.
