Default Oxygen Sensor

I have a 2000 Civic Si and i am in need of a oxygen sensor that goes on the cat. My question is will i be able to use oxygen sensors from other Honda's and if so which ones? Also is there a difference from the front oxygen sensor and the one on the cat?

You can use any o2 from a 99-00 Si. I am not exactly certain that all honda o2 sensors would work, but your best bet would be any from a 99-00 or a 96-98 Ex coupe. There is a difference between the primary o2 sensor ( pre cat ) and the secondary o2 sensor. The primary reads diffrent emissions than the rear... so you don't want to get those two mixed up.

as far as i know all models use the same four wire sensor for the primary and secondary. Exception is the hx uses a five wire wideband sensor for the primary. Also depening on which obd it is might have different conectors....hope this helps..

ALL 4 wire honda o2 sensors are the same

Difference in the cat o2, is it has a rubber grommet on the wires...thats all.
You can reuse your old one, if youre careful with it

The DOHC cam motors have different O2 sensors then the SOHC's. Make sure you get the right sensor b/c the ARE NOT all the same. I have to replace mine too, but don't bother getting them from Honda--they will charge you up the a$$. (300+ dollars!)

Here's where I found a killer deal for our EM1s:

I suggest getting the Honda part number for the sensor that goes bad, and click on "cross reference" link on this website to match up the correct sensor.

Last but not least, get the Denso one--that's what Honda uses from the factory. Good luck, homie.
