Default 2007 Civic SI plans HELP NEEDED!

hey hows it going everyone.

im fairly new to civics and i just blew my money on a 2007 civic si and it totally blew my mind to Honda. just some future plans on my car and i would like some advice. constructibe would be nice lol i know im a newb to the civic thing.

i was thinking for now:

Greddy Ti-C exhaust (is this exhaust good? im looking for a deep, loud sound and power gains)

AEM CAI intake or Injen CAI (theres always a battle to which one is better and i get mixed results. supposedly the AEM wont break warrenty and thats a good thing considering i only have 1600 miles on the car. which one gives the better power gain?)

VAFC controller (this is the big one. i am looking to change the VTEC point from 6000 which seems like it takes forever to come to about 4500 to 4600. will this hurt the engine at all? im trying to keep it under the cruisin point and i figure at about 80 mph the car sits at about 3900 in 6th. i also get mixed feelings for this too. this is also provided with a proper tune for the exhaust and intake.)

with this set-up what could i expect from the car?

thanks for the help everyone

go to the 06-07 page. the fourth or fith thread ther is a frequently asked qustion thread. theres video on exhaust and just about all your questions can be answered there. If not use search, then if you still cant find an answer post here. Search hondata for v-tec at 4600rpm

The exhaust will be great for you. Get the Injen CAI, VAFC won't work for the new iVTEC. Get the HONDATA reflash.

vtec controllers are a waste of money man unless your doing alot of other work. just hit the basics... intake header and exhaust... from what people talk about th ingen intake is pretty good. i dont know much about exhaust. ( i dont like loud exhaust ) hondata's k-pro should be comming out soon... its worked well on rsx and other models.

Forget the Vtec controller, it will not work with these motors. Hooking one up will really screw things up in the ECU.

The Exhaust is ok, just make sure you do not exceed 60mm since your NA.

AEM Cold intake is good. I have that on my ride and really like it. However, a lot of people like the Ingen. This was not yet released when I did my intake mod. Being that you live in NJ, you might want to consider a short ram intake.

The Hondata reflash will provide a huge gain, but wait till your past break-in and realize you place your warranty at risk as well when using the reflash.

First off, love how everyone overlooks other posts before posting the same damn thing thats already been said. Second, don't post things that are not accurate. Having a reflash will not void your warranty. The dealer/manufacturer would have to be able to prove that the modifications were the reason for the car having whatever problem it may have.

Lol, you cant just make claims like that man. First off, being N/A alone doesnt constitute which size exhaust you cant exceed. Secondly we have dyno tunes on FA5's from very similar 2.25" straight through exhausts and 2.5" chambered (more restrictive) exhaust and the 2.5" still made close to 5 hp more. Dont take it the wrong way, im just trying to make sure the guy isnt misinformed.
