We a sat night midnight drags race here with no timeslips/no scoreboards this week. last night there was a corvette that turned a 9.21 on a traction limited surface. These are truly driven street cars. it should be awesome.

Yeah but in COMP Street Class they dont mix the 6cyl with the 4cyl, so it doesnt matter.

yes, there are 9 sec hondas, there are even 8sec hondas but they are running in pro street unibody classes.. NOT street tire class, all hondas running 11's, 10's, 9's, 8's are running on slicks..

Vinny Ten's Supra has gone 8.0's. No Honda has done that. The Supra ain't a tube chassis car either.

hondas don't run in the street classes(nhra or idrc) because you must run a dot approved radial tire. there are only a handful of hondas that "might" be able to run 11's on a dot approved radial. awd/rwd rules that class. bastards.

not true on the DOT tires.. you can choose to run bias-ply radial but you must take a 150 pound weight penalty. most supra's and eclipse/talons can afford to take the weight penalty.

what i meant was that fwd cars cannot run slicks. therefore cannot run better than probably a high 11. which blows by the way.
